Run by volunteers and launched in 2021, the Centre is a vibrant community hub and a solution-oriented education centre, building community resilience and adaptation for a sustainable future in Islington and beyond.

We are part of the Climate Emergency Centre Network, inspired by existing centres including Zero Carbon Guildford as well as community group initiatives such as Think & Do Camden. Imagine 2030 and Sustainable UCL.
Our Mission
Community action and individual change can make a real difference but, despite their concerns, many people can feel overwhelmed by the enormity of the challenge. Working together to create a more sustainable future together with projects towards greater adaptation and resilience is vital.
Our mission is to accelerate the transition to a regenerative system by engaging, informing, and connecting.
We do this via a series of lively events and workshops, swap shops and repair shops, talks and panels and much more, giving Islington residents the knowledge and skills they need to address local concerns.
